Seattle singer-songwriter Alexandra Niedzialkowski, who records and performs as Cumulus, shows her deft understanding of the mystique of the style of indie rock that emerged out of the Pacific Northwest area a generation ago and was perfected by bands such as Death Cab for Cutie; the kind of sweetly sentimental rock songs with easygoing, seemingly weightless melodies that belie the mountains of emotion hidden within the notes.
