Train and support a team of entry-level social science research analysts and senior social science research analysts, and preparing and delivering status reports orally and in writing under the direction of the faculty co-directors. Assign tasks & guide study staff in accordance with the faculty co-directors’ instructions. Oversee data analysis in projects that require advanced statistics tools applied to social research. Ensure that all study activities are completed by strictly following all current local, state, & federal laws, regulations, guidance, policy & procedure developed by the NU Institutional Review Board (IRB), and all relevant federal agencies as required in the study of social issues. Must have a Masters degree in economics, public policy, social science or a related field. Must have four (4) years of experience as a Research Analyst, Research Coordinator or Research Associate. Four (4) years of experience must include experience in cleaning and analyzing data from large randomized controlled trials, using diverse statistical and econometric tools with software such as Stata and R; designing survey instruments for RCTs; using digital data collection platforms (such as Survey CTO) for programing surveys; project management support (assisting in the writing of project reports, corresponding with external partners, etc); supporting field operations and data collection efforts in a developing country; conducting data quality checks on incoming data; and creating institutional resources and mentoring technical staff. Limited international travel may be required through the course of a research study.
